How we handle your information

Our catering form and our private events form ask for your name, email address, phone number, the date you have in mind, the number of guests, a preferred pickup time (catering) or event time and location (private events), and anything else you choose to write in the details box.

When you submit a form, those details are saved in this website’s database and emailed to our team so we can respond to your inquiry. You also receive an acknowledgement email from noreply@notify.sergioscantinamaui.com. We use what you send to reply to you and to plan the catering order or event you asked about.

On your first visit, analytics and advertising storage are denied, and YouTube’s player stays unloaded until you allow video. The banner lets you choose each category separately:

• Analytics — helps us see which pages people use so we can improve the site.
• Advertising — lets us measure our ads and show more relevant ones.
• Video — allows YouTube’s player to load so videos can play on the page.

These are separate. Allowing video does not turn on analytics or advertising, and turning on analytics does not turn on advertising.

Your preference is remembered in your browser for up to 180 days and updated whenever you save your choices. You can change or withdraw any of it at any time:

The same “Cookie settings” link appears at the bottom of every page. If your browser blocks storage, your choice applies to that visit only and the banner appears again next time.

We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads. These tags load with Google Consent Mode v2: on a first visit, or whenever there is no saved choice, analytics and advertising storage start out denied. A saved choice is honoured on later visits, and the tags are only loaded on our own published website addresses.

Declining tells Google not to store or access analytics and advertising cookies. Google may still receive cookieless measurement signals — limited measurement signals that do not use analytics or advertising cookies — so declining does not mean the page makes no requests to Google at all.

If you arrive from one of our ads, the link you clicked can carry campaign attribution values that tell us which ad brought you here. We keep these only if you have allowed the Advertising category. In that case they stay in your browser for the current browsing session — until you close the tab or browser — and are added to the reservation link if you go on to book, so we can tell which ads lead to reservations.

If you decline advertising, or have not chosen yet, nothing is stored and nothing is added to the reservation link. If you withdraw advertising permission later, the stored values are deleted straight away and the values we added are removed from the reservation link — the link’s own details, such as which restaurant it points to, are untouched.

Reservations. Our “Reserve” buttons take you to OpenTable, a separate company. Anything you enter there is handled under OpenTable’s privacy policy, not this page.

Reviews. We display Google reviews of our restaurant on the site. These are fetched by our server from Google and shown as content — your browser is not signed in to Google to read them. Our Yelp link takes you to Yelp’s own site.

Maps and directions. Address links open Google Maps in a new tab. Once you are there, Google handles that visit.

Video. Videos on this site are hosted on YouTube. Until you allow the Video category, we show a still image only and the player is not loaded. When you allow it, we load YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com) with autoplay off, so nothing starts until you press play. Withdrawing video permission removes the player right away. YouTube is a Google service, covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
